“Infidelity – it isn’t what you think”

My thoughts ya’ll:

Aleatha is one of my all time favorite authors. On Aleatha’s twitter page it asks “Have you been Aleatha’d?” All I can say is I seem to forget every time that I have been until I’m blown away by another of her intriguing and thrilling stories. She knows how to make the back of my knees sweat! I had to take anxiety breaks, because the suspense of the story was just too much at times.

I knew going in that it was going to be a cliffhanger and did my girl leaving me hanging! Her style of writing is riveting to say the least. You literally dream about going back to read some more. I stayed up reading until midnight and it took me about 30 minutes to come down just a little from my book hangover so that I could close my eyes and sleep. My mind is still racing with possibilities and questions as to how this is going to pan out.

Entrapment is the continuation of Alex and Nox’s love story. Alex is coerced into following “the rules” and going with her stepdad, Alton, under the assumption that her coming easily will allow her access to her sick mother. Now I’m going to stop here and say that if you haven’t read the previous three books, you’ll get a good story but you’ll probably be pretty lost. Through the twists and turns of the story, you find out just how f-ed up her Grandfather’s will is and the lengths her stepfather will go to to keep his fortune. There are so many pieces to the Infidelity puzzle, and I cannot wait until January 17 to come so I can put the pieces together.

My Review:

Like Aleatha’s other books, it’s written from several different character’s points of view. She ensures that you as the reader know some of the puzzle just like the characters, but you’re still scrambling to find solid ground and make sense of everything when you get another piece. I can’t tell you how many times I gasped out loud while reading this book. The plot just keeps thickening the more you read.

Is Alex willing to pay the price to save it all? She is, but you find it’s on her own terms, which creates the angst and intrigue that makes you want to read as quickly as possible to find out just how she’ll do it. Or if she even is able to. She’s had to deal with expectations and rules all of her life and she’s used to behaving one way and seething with fury on the inside. Alex is better than me because I would have cut someone by then!

Aleatha’s writing is magnificent and that’s not a word I use on a regular basis or at all really. That’s just how amazing her storytelling ability is.

Why you should read it:

If you have not read this author, beware. You will not do laundry, you will not eat or drink, you will not notice your husband talking to you because she has you from the first word and will not let go! Seriously, you may not even go to the bathroom…just sayin. So clear your schedule and prepare your mind because you’ll need to to survive the fourth book of the Infidelity series.

About the Author:

Aleatha live in Indiana. She’s married to her high school sweetheart and has 3 children. She’s the brilliant author of not only the Infidelity series, but the Consequences Series (which I rave about here) and The Light Series. If you want to learn more about her or purchase some of her amazing books, head over to her amazon author page here.

Are you waiting for all of them to come out or could you just not wait like me? Tell me right down there.
