Here are 5 Unputdownable Romance Reads from September 2016. I read…and reread a ton of books this month. But these are the 5 that just really blew all others out of the water. Book hangovers, suspense, steamy love scenes, and new favorite authors…you get them all plus some in these 5 stories.
Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan-
I became a fan of Tijan when I read her Jaded series. She has a quick pace style of writing and it’s quite entertaining. There are many laugh out loud moments. Summer is getting ready for college and is dreaming of a budding romance with her stepbrother. Well what she gets is a sexy adonis who is, you guessed it, the anit-stepbrother. They are both a little gun shy, especially Summer who has some issues with her thoughts on boys. This was such a fun read. I stayed up to finish it, so that tells you it is a must read from this month.
28 Days by Lexi Buchanan-
Holy smokes. This book kept me up reading until the wee hours of the morning. It was so suspenseful, I just couldn’t put it down. But knowing me and my anxiety, I definitely took breaks to get myself in check. Saige is victim number 6 and she finds that the attempted murderer is on death row and has only 28 days to live. Through the twists and turns, right up until the last page I might add, she finds that all is not what it seems as she journeys to find the truth of her current circumstance. The story also switches back and forth from the accused rapist and murderer, Quentin. All I can say is if you love suspense and have a heart for romance, like me, Read. This. Book!
Entrapment by Aleatha Romig-
Mrs. Romig just happens to be my favorite author, but when you read this book, you’ll see exactly why that is. I mean the angst, suspense, drama, lust, intrigue, and passion in this book is out of this world. This is the 4th of 5 books in the series, so I would begin at book number 1 before diving into this one. It’s the continuation of Charli and Nox’s story and what a twisted tale it is. Charli is trying to see her ill mother and comes to find the will that has set the direction of her life and all of the strings it has attached. You scream how unfair it is, what they should do, what they should say, but Aleatha knows how to get under your skin. So read this book. No really, if you do nothing else, read it!
Playboy Pilot by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland-
Steam…just steam coming out of these pages. The authors know how to build up the sexual tension between two characters for sure. I can’t count how many times I laughed out loud. That Playboy Pilot is a witty one and his heroine, Kendall, wasn’t too shabby at the one liners either. I’ve read the authors books separately and have haven’t come across any that I didn’t like. If you are looking for a fun read, a steamy read, the ultimate bad boy romance, then you can’t pass up reading Playboy Pilot. Captain Carter Clynes will make you putty in his hands and put a smile on your face. He’s a dangerous one so be careful.
Retrieval (The Retrieval Duet Book 1) by Aly Martinez-
I knew from reading the synopsis that I was going to love this book. I mean…proposing on the first date. How romantic is that?! From the beginning you realize Roman and Elisabeth have that love. You know the love that makes you think they are literally made for one another. I’ve loved some of Aly’s other books, but this one just makes your heart sigh. Don’t get me wrong, your panties go up in smoke when you meet Roman too. This is a part of a duet and I found, like with many other books I’ve read, that I’ll always love the couple that come first more. I found myself not liking the characters in book two very much. That aside, you gotta read this book. You’ll regret it if you don’t.
Would you add any to this list? Have you read any of them too? Tell me down below what your favorite was:)
