Review of Dawn of Eve

Review of ARC- Dawn of Eve

Dawn of Eve (Trilogy of Eve Book 3) by Pam Godwin

I am so excited that it’s finally here! I binge read my arc of Dawn of Eve in one day and finished it at 2 o’clock in the morning. It is an unforgettable and unputdownable finish to the amazing Trilogy of Eve. Find out what happens in the dark, sexy finale to the Trilogy of Eve.

Rating: 4.5/5

Dawn is the prophesied daughter of Eve. Eve sacrificed her life to give birth to the daughter that would save the world from the catastrophic plague that was released 20 years ago. It was released to create a master race, in turn destroying humans and their way of life. Eve’s blood cured the few existing women left in the world and allowed them to go about replenishing the world’s population. It also protected her guardians from death. Her pregnancy with Dawn eliminated the aphids that were originally plaguing the earth, but there were still hybrids that bit and raped the remaining women, turning their children into blood thirsty hybrids as well.

Dawn is supposed to save the human race, but she has no clue how she is going to do that. She’s been raised and trained by her fathers, the saviors and guardians of her mother, Eve. They taught her not only her purpose and how to fight, but they shared their memories of her courageous mother. While trying to figure out how to fulfill the prophesy, she is thrown into a cell that contains a mysterious man that calls out to her body and soul. She doesn’t know whether she can trust him, but she knows her body craves him. She feels he is the answer to how she will save the world. The intense connection they share may just be her downfall and prevent her from saving humanity. Or it could be the answer to how she will save it.

My thoughts ya’ll:

First I’d just like to say, I have the coolest job ever! Getting an advanced reading copy of Dawn of Eve and getting to review it even sooner than most of Pam’s fans is such an incredible honor and opportunity.

OMG!!! or should I say OMEve? I have been waiting for the completion of this trilogy for years ya’ll. Years! When I first picked up Dead of Eve, it was the second book I had read from Pam Godwin and she quickly became one of my top five authors. Dead of Eve left me with a book hangover that I just didn’t know how to get rid of it. It took forever for the Blood of Eve to come out and Pam Godwin blew me away and broke my heart all in the same book. I cannot say enough about her ability to write a story. You absolutely cannot put it down. I thought that I wouldn’t be able to like Dawn because her being alive meant Eve wasn’t there. She was one of my favorite heroines. Strong, confident, courageous and brave.

I shouldn’t have been worried though. Dawn completed the trilogy and made you love her while she did it. Dawn of Eve was amazing and definitely steamy. It is dark read in case you didn’t recognize it from the cover. The love scenes between Dawn and Salem were out of this world hot. I couldn’t get enough. I loved that her dads were still so much a part of the story, but this was definitely Dawn’s book. Even though there is a happy ending, Pam plays on your emotions. There were some scenes the got my blood pressure up, my heartbeat out of control and my eyes tearing from the heartbreak. It was suspenseful throughout and such a unique and intriguing story that it left me with a book hangover that penetrated my dreams…literally.

My Review:

As I said before I waited a long time for the completion of this series. Pam’s writing was just the right pace…fast and full of suspense, sexiness, intrigue, mystery and even a little humor. I was guessing how it would end as well as getting a mental workout from the twists and turns she threw at me. Well written scenes gives you a crystal clear picture of what is happening. Dawn is well developed and whether she believes it or not, she’s just as kick ass as her mama. Pam wrote an awesome heroine and did such an outstanding job of describing her thoughts, strengths and weaknesses. You were right there with her in her turmoil and learning to trust and let go with Salem.

Get ready because you will have a new book boyfriend by the end of this book. Salem is alpha af and super hot! Pam definitely throws a ton of curveballs when it comes to his character. He has his flaws, but you can’t help but have the same magnetic pull to his aggressive and bossy nature. The love story between he and Dawn is heart melting and passionate. There are some great moments of humor and a whole lot of mystery and intrigue. He also knows how to break a heart! I was literally gasping for air because I could feel my heart shattering from his betrayal right along with Dawn. I won’t go into what he did, but let’s just say, “Damn! That was cold!”

The reason I rated Dawn of Eve a 4.5 out of 5 is because I felt the ending was a bit of an anti-climax, almost rushed. Dead of Eve and Blood of Eve ended so epically and on cliffhangers. Eve dies leaving you with a broken heart. Although it was written beautifully, I guess I just expected a little more drama before Dawn saves mankind. Do not get me wrong though. The story is wrapped up perfectly and you have a massive sense of completion and satisfaction with the outcome. I guess I just didn’t want it to end.

Why you should read it:

If you are a fan of epic and passionate loves stories with a kick ass and strong heroine, Dawn of Eve is for you. It has passion, sexiness, and a though provokingly unique and unforgettable storyline. It keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat the entire time you read it. Dawn of Eve is sexy, dark, and will give you a huge book hangover. You’ll want to read all of Pam’s books after this epic conclusion. I promise you the yoyo of emotions you get from reading this story is totally worth it.

About the Author:

Pam is in my top five authors. She brings her characters to life and make you want to binge read to find out what happens to them. She’s a New York Times Best Seller and the author of not only the Trilogy of Eve, but the Deliver Series and one of my favorites Dirty Ties. She lives in the midwest with her family and you can tell she loves dark romances because she writes them so well. Some of her scenes can be graphic, so if you’re squeamish, maybe have your dog nearby as you read. But you will regret it if you don’t. She hooks you from the first line and you won’t want to put any of them down. Head over to website to learn more about her at You can also stalk her on social media.
